I've been searching ourbrisbane.com to find things to do over July. The Brisbane Fetival is on but I haven't found anything to do from the list ofe events yet. I found an art show which portrays art and they features bullets and blood in the exhibition.... freaky but I bet it would be such a moving exhibit.

Tomorrow is the beginning of NAIDOC Week in Queensland. There is a celebration in Southbank tomorrow so I will go into the City for the day.

This Friday at the Queen Street Mall there is an event, QLD Roars Against Racism Latin Dance. It's free and starts at 6pm and goes till late. I will have to find someone to go with me.

At the end of this month the Portside Wharf Coffee and Chocolate Affair is on :) Yummy! Must go to that. It's on the 26th and 27th of July.

I also want to go to Mount Cootha to the Planaterium. Also the botanical gardens.

QPAC has Jazz Fridays which is free.

I also want to go the Art Gallery because I haven't been there in ages! Also I want to check out the State Library 'coz it's all new and shiny!

Oh and also the Picasso exhibition!

OMG Brisbane Bronco's are playing Canterbury Bulldogs on Sunday!!!!! Gotta see that! And BRisbane Lions plays West Coast on the 19th at the Gabba! Oh and Brisbane Broncos play Cronulla Sharks on 25th at Suncorp.

Sophia and I saw Get Smart this evening. It was good. Seriously funny. I love Steve Carrel. He's so funny. And yes, I think I can say that Anne Hathaway is an ok actress. I never liked her in anything but she proved herself in Get Smart. Somehow I knew she would.

I went shopping. I got my hair cut and an eyebrow wax. Linda was in today and she was excited to cut my hair again. She likes my hair... not the first time a hairdresser has liked my hair. One of hairdressers when I was little thought I had perfect hair.... :o No idea why. It's too thick! When I find batteries for the camera I'll take photo's :) It's short at the back and long at the front. I love Linda she always cuts it and blow dries your hair into a bird nest... seriously! My hair was covering my face and then she just blew it back, sprayed on hairspray and said, 'there you go!' Lol.

What else? Saw Trina, a girl I went to Mansfield High with. Haven't seen her in years! I bought Superman Returns on dvd. I love that movie. Superman is so much better than Spiderman.... Spiderman is a dick! No, really...
I bought Every Which Way but Dead ($11.95 w00t) by Kim Harrison because I'm almost finished The Good the Bad and the Undead. I love her books they're so good. I also bought Twilight for my cousin. She didn't know what Twilight was about so I told her I'd get her the book for her birthday. She needs to be introduced. I don't like the new 'Special' Editions. They're bigger and more expensive! $24.95 for Twilight (I bought it on special for $21.95). It use to be $18.95! Waah...
I also want to make her card. Mum had her desk set up for scrapbooking but it's messy! I'm still working on a scrapbook for her. I should finish that too. 20 days to go... Wow I've been 20 for 5 days!

I think I'm going to the movies with Sophia tonight. Better than clubbing since it's raining. I haven't seen her in over 6 months :( I'm waiting for her to message me and tell me what movie and time.

Speaking of movies, I have so many to watch. I borrowed Blade Trinity (haven't seen it in ages. I really want to buy the trilogy), Speak, Romeo and Juliet, Constantine, The Fifth Element(awsome film), Resident Evil, Panic Room, and Love Song for Bobby Long. Becoming Jane is due back in an hour and mum is watching it now! I should have reminded her earlier.

Going shopping today. Not that I'll buy anything... the only exception being something from borders :) I love Borders and I love books. I love browsing books and I love buying books and owning them. I'll also get my hair cut. Just a trim and a little fringe because I don't like straight hair down past my face. I love my hair short but once I start growing it out I realise I also like my hair long until the point I realise I don't like it long... weird I know. So almost once a year my hair is cut short! Lets look my hair over the years...

Grade 5 is when I started. However I did have short hair numerous times when I was little.

Damn that's it! My hair rarely passes my shoulders so you can't say it's long but I usually cut my hair to the point where I can't put it up so yeah, it's long.

Damn... I can't decide! I'll leave it long. I'll ask Linda to trim my hair allowing it to grow as well as a fringe. I'll also buy some hair dye :) A rich brown probably. I have major regrowth! I'll make sure I remember which one I use to I can touch up in a few weeks.

Since it's Saturday Sophia may want to go out tonight... it's too cold! I hate going clubbing in Winter.
I should get out of bed and shower. Lol, mum bought me pancakes and coffee in bed :) Yummy!
Oh that's other exciting news, mum will graduate at the end of the month. She will officially be Dr. next week :) Dr mum! It's so exciting. I'm so proud of her.

It's cold today. Cloudy and windy. Kinda like Sydney. But it probably won't be too cold.

I just heard about Don.S Davis passing away on the 29th of June. That's so sad. And to hear he died of a massive heart attack is so tragic. No one should pass that way. I think General Hammond was a unique character on the show. He was a general you could like. His character had all the qualities you wished every general had :(
I think it will be sad to watch SG1 knowing that he isn't alive anymore. It's like watching the first two Harry Potter films and knowing that Richard Harris isn't alive. It's kinda sad. It's more of a memorial to watch them now.

It's my birthday today :o Happy Birthday to me! Not much is planned. We're having lunch out which is good. Heather and I are at my aunty's house playing on her Wii. Last night we had dinner here and the Wii was our entertainment. I'm good at bowling, ok at Tennis but suck at Baseball and Golf :( Not playing that again. Heather is playing bowling on Wii Sports while I do random stuff on my computer and drink my morning coffee. I just got a message from my cousin Fi and Dad called earlier but I wasn't up :s Well, apparently Heather called Dad the moment she got up out of bed! I don't think she knows that the Northern Territory is half-an-hour behind.

I guess after living for two decades it requires some type of post the reflects back on my years as a child and as a teenager( I'm not longer a teenager. It's the best feeling in the world!) Maybe I'll write something. Maybe I won't. I'll see. Well, all I can see is when I look in the past is a lot of disappointment in myself. Yeah that makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside. I'm waiting for an epiphany.

Our family friend Kate had a baby on the 27th. Her name is Poppy Mae Elizabeth Loyd. It's so exciting. Kate got married to Jules last year here in Brisbane. It was such a beautiful wedding. It was small and in the botanic gardens. We all went back to Kate's sisters house for the reception, we all stayed the night and went to Southbank the following day for Mother' Day. It's so exciting now that she has a baby! I'm so happy for her.

Moonlight Sonata

Mum and I are listening to the Cd's we bought today. I bought the Best of Beethoven ! I bought it because it cost $6.95 from JB and it has Moonlight Sonata on it, which is playing right now :)
I'm now uploading mum's classical cd's that she has. Well, the ones I haven't uploaded yet because I have some on my computer already. I think she bought a Pavarotti 'Forever' and a cd with a collection of Dvork. It sounds really good.
I like classical music. It's so soothing. Moonlight Sonata is my favourtie. I always feel so calm when I hear it. Mum use to play it for Heather at Therapy so for me the calmness that I feel is buried deep within my childhood memory. I'm tied to it.

Tomorrow I am flying back to Brisbane. Unlike the countless times I have jumped on the next plane out of here, this time seems like a task. I have fully established myself here. Sydney is a shell. A nice safe shell. From what I don't know. Leaving tomorrow will be like leaving my comfort zone. I don't know why. I can't explain why I feel like this either. Possibly my choice to stay in Sydney during mid-semester strengthened my ties to Sydney. I haven't seen my family in 6 months but for some reason that's not bothering me. I know mum probably has a dropped jaw right now. To me it always feels like I've just seen them. I do miss them, always but it doesn't feel like six months since I've seen them. Only my dad. I can't wait till he is back from the Territory. Being away from him pains me the most. I want to spend more time with him this break. Somehow spending time with dad feel necessary. I constantly feel that I haven't (which I know) and I'm going to regret it. I miss him and being away from him hurts. It feels like I'm losing time.

I wish I could drive. I would love to drive to the sunshine coast. Park by the beach and just spend the day in the sun. There is this nice river which joins the beach at Maroochydore and you drive past it when you come from Bli Bli into Maroochydore. People are always on boats, fishing, and swimming. There are mangroves further along the river. We always drive past it but I would love to stop and spend some time there. It's so nice. It is so attractive... picturesque. I'd love to see more of the towns surrounding the Sunshine Coast. Noosa is gorgeous but I've only been there once. Montville is gorgeous as well, up in the mountains. Good place for shopping and lunch. I think I will have to convince my cousin to take a drive up. Ha! Now I understand the freedom associated with driving.

So many people to see while I’m home. One of the pains of travelling back to Brisbane is that I have to pay full price everywhere because I’m not enrolled in a QLD institute. Makes travelling expensive. A trip to the sunshine coast cost $20! It’s the reason I spend so much time at mum’s house. It’s too expensive to do anything in Brisbane. Sydney is cheaper... for me.

4 days till my birthday. I have been ‘umm-ing’ and ‘arr-ing’ about what I want. I think we have established either an ipod and a new phone or just the iphone. If the plans are too expensive we might as well go for the ipod and just a new phone. As well as the complete works of Jane Austin! Sounds good to me. Jeana bought me a birthday present. A book of course! Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison. Finished it today. It was really good. Jean might be going back to America for the break so if she does she will buy me some books in America because they cost $7 over there while they’re $20 here! It’s a 3 for one sale! I think she will buy me the Laurel K Hamilton books.

I believe I will spend my holidays reading. I can’t think of any other way to spend my holidays. It’s almost perfect. Reading books while Joni Mitchell plays in the background... Alas, I think there is 30 days till Breaking Dawn is released! How exciting? What a perfect way to end the Semester Break.

Did I mention I have a cold? I caught it on Monday I think. It's terrible. My nose feels like it's almost rubbed off! I really want it to pass. I'm dreading the descent into Brisbane tomorrow afternoon. My ears will explode.
What else had happened? Alina and Hashem moved out :( 'Tis sad. Jeana and I saw the movie Mongol. It was really good... non of it was in English. It was hard to watch the subtitles and the actually movie because of the size of the screen. I would recomend it. It was a moving film.

Tonight Estelle and I are having dinner at Inferno for my birthday. Hannah might be coming but she was doing something in the city so might not make it. However having dinner with Estelle is fine. I think I will have to go home and change. I’m wearing jeans with my Macquarie Jumper. Nothing I have is clean though... seriously. I think I am down to my last pair of undies. It’s expensive to wash clothes here... and also environmentally unfriendly. I don’t know how much water the large Laundromat washers use. 410 students to 7 washing machines... every week! Ridiculous! I envy, Sam, Hannah and Lachlan ‘coz they can take their dirty washing home and not pay! I could do a small load for tonight and tomorrow and wash everything when I get home. At least it’s free and water-friendly with mum’s new washing machine. Tonight I could hand wash some clothes and hang them up while I sleep so I have something clean for tomorrow. I still need to think of what to wear on the plane; A skirt probably with boots because they’re too bulky for my suitcase. I wonder how cold it is in Brisbane.... According to the Bureau of Meteorology 22 degrees apparently. At least Brisbane is getting above 20. Sydney is always below.

I feel a little nausiated. I must go home to change and pack. Also take some cold and flu medication. Tomorrow at lunch I will be on a plane. Tomorrow morning I will be making the horrible unbearable trip to the airport by public transport. Hopefully when I catch the train the morning rush will be over. Maybe I should book a taxi to the train station for the morning. No. I’ll just call them in the morning. I hate not having Lucy to drive me to Eastwood Station. I finally got an email from her. Instead of 3 days in Hong Kong she spent a month! Well I know she hadn't seen her parents in a long time. I'll email her tomorrow when I'm home with wireless internet *squee*

So what have I been doing since Saturday? Well... watching dvd's. Supernatural actually. I even went out and bought Season 2. I love it! Ironic really. I hate horror things. I won't even watch horror movies. I saw 13 Ghosts but after I watched it I thought 'that's a load of rubbish!' However Supernatural I LOVE and give me anything with Vampires and Warewolves ;) I bought Queen of the Damned on dvd $6.99 from Target... WOOT bargain! I have to watch Interview with the Vampire. I might see if Target has it this weekend. I heart stock take sales! Then I should buy the books and read them. I have 3 15% off vouchers for borders for the first week of July! Lol. I kinda see that as a birthday present. That reminds me 10 days till my birthday *squee* No idea what I'm getting... ;) I was hoping for an ipod but I dunno... I guitar would be nice. Don't know why. I just really want one and want to be able to play. My cousin Adrian said he'll teach me. If I had a guitar that would make it easy. However I was suppose to get the ipod for Christmas... that reminds me, what did I get for Christmas??? *shrugs* However I'm going to get an iphone so would I still need an ipod? I messaged Sophia and told her we're going to a salsa club for my birthday. It'll make a nice change from regular clubs etc. I'm so over that. I was listening to the Dirty Dancing Havana Nights soundtrack and it has made me want to go even more! Sophia wanted me to go to the Timberland concert with her but it's not my thing. I like some of his songs but I wouldn't pay to see his concert.

It's very quiet in the village. Everyone is studying or has gone home. I'll be going home soon. Sophia was very happy to know that I’ll be back so soon... it's weird I haven't been home in 6 months! I can't wait to see people. My sister wanted me to come home yesterday but no... she kept hanging up on me every time I answered no. She begged at one point, it was so funny. I'll have to see Hannah before I go.

I burnt myself the other day. On the baking dish. It left a mark. Small but very visible. On my wrist! It was purple for a few days but now it's kind red.... it's now a scar? Before when it was purple it blistered but now it's actually a scar. That's two scars I'll have on my right arm. I have one from when I was about 10. I put my hand through a window! They almost look the same...

I've been re-reading Twilight. I've just started Eclipse. I think I prefer Twilight to New Moon and Eclipse. Every time I see my housemate Jeana we act like screaming fangirls... which makes me die a little inside but oh well. Not many books to get excited about these days. Haven't been this anxious since the final Harry Potter book. Well there was the Twisted Citadel but I still haven't read it. Well I go to chapter 10 an put it down. I love it and have waiting for soooo long for it's release but I read Twilight before it and I was still tied to it so it didn't compare. I will have to continue reading it. My mum has to get on the Twilight bandwagon now. I'll have to bring the books with me to Brisbane. (Along with The Prince, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Hamlet *Twiddles Thumbs* Yes, I am obsessed with books. Just don't ask how they'll fit in my bag 'coz I haven't figured that out yet! Twilight will go on as hand luggage and the others are light enough that they will go in my bag)

Still can't wait for the film... 44 days till Breaking Dawn comes out :) I think there is going to be a 5th book? Midnight something ???? Oooo exciting!

I might pre-order Breaking Dawn. Jeana and I have planned a read-a-thon on the weekend before uni starts which happens to be the weekend Breaking Dawn comes out :) However Jeana was told by Admin she might have to move because she only payed for a semester and not two. They say they're all booked for next semester :( It'll be really sad when she goes. Alina is moving out too :( I think her and Hashem want to be closer to the city.

This weekend is suppose to be a marathon for tv shows. Serenity, BattleStar Galactica, Supernatural and Pride and Prejudice. Jeana and I have been waiting for uni to be over so we could laze about and watch dvd's. Her exams finished yesterday :)

This is going to sound weird but I can't wait to get home, play some music and sing at the top of voice and not give a shit. Here in the village it's all tight nicked so you don't play music too loud an you don't sing either... people will hear you! I usually listen to my music with headphones. Can't wait to get home and blast all my favourite music. I think I'll set up in the garage with music, books, records etc and just chill. Then dad will come home and claim the space *rolls eyes* I plan to spend more time with dad these holidays. I can't wait till he gets back from the Territory. He doesn't like it there much. That surprised me. He wants to come home. I guess that also makes me feel special that Dad would rather be here with Heather and Me than in the Territory. We're his pride and joy :)

I'm coming down with something. My throat is so sore. I hate swallowing. It could pass though... Damn I really need some Butter Menthols. I just chocked my throat is on fire....Ouch... fuck.... kill me now!

I'm on my laptop :) I can't remember the last time I conected to the net on it. Probably mid-semester!
It's cold today. Very cold. It's quite funny. Recently I've been thinking 'where is winter?' and then I got up at 7am this morning and thought 'oh, there it is!'
Since I moved into the village it's rare for me to get up before 9am! Lazy... yes!
I think I'll go home and watch a movie! Yaah free time :)

I'm currently taking a break from studying. I'm on Hashem's computer. They're playing chess... and Hashem just lost. Lol he's a sore loser!
Hannah came round before. She's almost out cold. She had a take home exam that was released 24 hours before the hand in date. She has not slept for like 30 hours! Poor girl.
Estelle isn't coming out this way today :( Friday is usually our coffee day. But I'll probably go stay at hers on Tuesday! She has an exam in the morning then we'll go to UWS and see Michael and Lorraine because I haven't seen them since first year!
One more day then I've finished this semester.

There is a seminar session on the 28th June. It's called 'After the Apology'. It's going to be held in Redfern...

It will also include Tom Calma the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Social Justice Commissioner, along with indigenous performances and afternoon workshops to equip us with the skills required to assist in interactive programs with our local indigenous community.'

Lunch is provided and its free. It's on the 28th of June though :( I need to go home next week but I want to go to it :s... not fair!
There is also a human rights conference in Byron Bay on the 1-4 July. Info here. That would be good too.

Josh is in the computer room and he told me the Pol270 exam is easy... it better be. He took Pol270 last year. That kinda settled my nerves a bit. I'm hoping my knowledge from Politics of Development as well as the info from Critical Thinking will help me write a decent answer to the questions in the exam.
3 hours the exam is...I bet time will fly... maybe a little too fast. It always does.
I'm hoping one of the questions won't be on Nicaragua 'coz I have no info on that. Don't ask why I just don't.

I have an exam in 30 minutes...
I'm so nervous I'm queezy and I think I'm going to throw up.
I can't remember the last time I actually cared about my final exams but this time I do and I am so nervous. I don't think I'm going to do very well. Even though people keep telling me it will be fine. If I flunk this exam I'll die inside. Seriously. There will be tears. And screaming. However If I don't calm down there will be tears before I go into the exam.
I feel like curling up into a ball.

Estelle is here... well she's in class but when she gets out we'll go for coffee. We haven't had coffee together in so long! Steve is suppose to come but he went home with a headache... too much studying I presume.
We had a power trip at home today. The powerpoints weren't working. The maintenance guy had to come and fix it. He did but then it tripped again! We worked out it was the kettle... so we got a new one :)
OMG....OMG... SUN SUN SUN SUN SUN SUN! I haven't seen you in days! Everything looks pretty now :) Still a lot of cloud around though. I think the forecast says showers into next week :(
