So I'm seriously thinking about Egypt. I have 4 brochures on me... All crap-Tour companies suck! Why doesn't anyone go to Abydos or the Fayum Oasis?? Nothing really gives you any info about doing Egypt without a tour which I am! I didn't study Egyptology to go to Egypt and be cramped on a bus/ plane/ train/ boat with ignorant tourists! I might have to email Todd at Uni and get his opinion. He would know since he goes every year! I wanted to buy theEgypt lonely planet guide but no store has it in stock! It would help a lot right now. I want to plan everything precisely! I've never been overseas before.... A lot of planning seems to be required. Egypt is my dream destination... I want my trip to be perfect! Firstly I'll need to find someone to go with.

If I do consult Todd- maybe I could volunteer on the excavations ;)
